Folks, 



With respect to the medical status of Bettye, Len Sutphin's spouse, I had the
privilege of briefly speaking with Len late yesterday evening. He advised me
that Bettye's medical condition had stabilized and that she was released from
the ICU unit at Lewis Gale
 Hospital (Roanoke) arriving home last evening
shortly before our phone conversation.  



Len noted that Bettye had major back surgery over one and a half weeks ago at
Montgomery Regional Hospital and was released in due time.  Several days
later, she incurred a number of serious life-threatening complications thus
ultimately necessitating emergency transport to Lewis
 Gale Hospital
with placement in ICU.  He is very grateful for her subsequent recovery
from these serious medical complications, and is keenly aware that Bettye’s
recovery from the back surgery will continue for a number of months.



He extends his appreciation to each member for his or her continued thoughts
and prayers.
