Here are three free QSO logging packages.  I just read about XMlog, and have
only briefly read its website.  DXLab seems to be a little more powerful and
complex.  N1MM Logger is a contesting pckage, which in "theroy" can be used
for non contesting logging, but this is strongly discouraged.  All three
have Yahoogroups, DXLabs and N1MM are both fairly high volume, haven't
lurked on the XMlog group yet.
