Good Afternoon,
The National Weather Service in Blacksburg sincerely appreciates all
the reports you provided us during last night's winter storm. Thank you so
very much!
In addition to providing near real-time information that helped us
update our snowfall forecast, and providing the media with snowfall totals
in the area, your reports are also used to create a map summarizing the
event. We regularly use these maps for research and case studies. The more
reports we receive, the greater the accuracy of this map.
The map of yesterday's storm can be viewed from our Facebook page at:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/US-National-Weather-Service-Blacksburg-VA/216190061773271
Thank you so much again for taking your valuable time to provide us
with your helpful reports.
Sincerely,
Phil Hysell - KI4CKP
