Hi Dave and Phil at the NWS Forecast Office, and to all the SKYWARN members
of the New River Valley ARC,

In case you did not see this story about the rare October snow storm in the
northeast you will want to read the following story. Ham SKYWARN Spotters
went into action to support their local NWS Forecast office up there.

We should remember that as the winter season advances on all of us, we, too,
here in the 40-county NWS warning area have a similar responsibility to be
active responsible reporters to the Blacksburg NWS Forecast Office through
our SKYWARN connection.
