Subject: Call for Nominations



 Dear New River Valley Amateur Radio Club Members,

The strength of an organization like our club depends on the sharing of
talent of the members.  Each of the current and past officers has
contributed to the vitality and value of the club.   Please see the list
below of our present officers. I have contacted all the present officers,
and all are willing to take on the responsibilities again for one more year.
In turn, however, each has said that he is willing to step aside if someone
new wants to give it a try for any of the positions.
 
This email gives all our members a chance to consider seeking a leadership
role to give back to the members and to the ham radio community in general.
This email is a call for nominations. Each year at the November meeting the
members  who are present  vote to elect officers for the coming year, and as
chairman of the nominating committee, comprised of Patrick Johnson, KJ4TRT,
Ron Angert N4AJT and myself, I want to reach out to you to consider making
nominations.

You may nominate any member in good standing, including yourself, for a
particular office.  The members serving us now are certainly eligible for
re-election as well.  Giving us your input is easy:  Just reply to this
email or drop a note to me at carter128 at verizon.net before November 21st.
Before including them on the ballot we will contact your suggested member
(if other than yourself) to confirm that he/she is willing and able to serve
in the office suggested.
