ok, i'll get the ball rolling,

i have been working (work has been going on this for nearly a year) on a
novice transmitter described in the 1961 handbook (page 171). it is a three
band oscillator transmitter, cw of course that uses a 6DQ6A os the final
amplifier. i have the tubes (and neon bulb) to construct the project, but
my question is the transformers.

i scrapped an old tube stereo amplifer, a pilot model 240 for the
transformers, tube sockets, chassis, etc. my question is, how do i measure
what type of transformers i have? there is one large and two small
transformers that came from the amp.

this seems to be a simple question, but this is the first tube project i
have tackled and i do not how to measure the value of transformers.

can't wait to get this finished as it will go with my hallicrafters s38-c.
it's a shame i did not have it done in time for straight key night!

   	happy new year to all.
