It's been interesting to see everyone's maps. Great to see all the interest.

My ic-9700 is working. I haven't had time for a deep read here, but I thought I'd share my settings. I did have to reboot at some point and I dind't change settings, to get it to work.

Well, we have an existance proof that it CAN work as Jon, 'ZQ was using
his -9700 today.

I offered some suggestions for setting the audio level correctly which
helped us a bit but we didn't have a situation with no TX at all--
his was actually the opposite with TX audio too hot but it was indeed
transmitting.

I think you are pretty close if CAT commands are working and so I would
leave the PTT method set to CAT because then you don't have to worry
about COM port number, RTS/DTR, etc.

I don't have a -9700 myself so I can't offer any specific details but
maybe there is another menu item down in the settings that is not
quite right to enable PTT??

It's probably obvious but you do have the "Enable Tx" button clicked in
WSJT-X right? I forget that one a lot and wonder why nothing goes out :-)

I did just confirm though that if you hit "Tune" while Enable Tx is off,
it will still transmit... so that's probably not it either.

Hmm... will ponder.
