Mel, since the contest format change going from the old UHF contest to the new distance based format, I have not been as inspired to rove for this one. Also, I see that the weekend forecast calls for an inch or two of rain (finally !) so I will be operating the home station in EN34it on 222 through 1296. I know my 2304 and 3400 transverters are working but unsure about the loopers. Perhaps if there is indeed some rain I can set up the 5.7 and 10G dishes in the garage/driveway for some possible RS Qs there. Not a full time effort but I will be around and would love to work you and Carol wherever you decide to go.

What was the talk around the Banquate table at CSVHF convention this year about
222 and Up contest this weekend. KC0P has posted a plan to operate Saturdayafternoon from near Waterloo, IA and Sunday from a second corner. Are there any plans for W0ZQ, N0AKC, K0AWU, AC0RA and K2DRH to make itworthwhile ? Based on plans listed so far on W0UC spreadsheet, On Sunday Icould potentially do better going to Cedar Rapids corner to pick up WI than go toAlgona and get skunked ! Would like to hear more about people planning to be on thisweekend. 73, Mel KC0P/R

Hi all, Well i probably will not do much with the 222 and up contest. I On Saturday i will put my effert in to the naqp cw contest. There will be good activity on it and won't just be an ft8 contest. Scence all most people on vhf want now is ft8 there is just no scence in doing much with it. Infact maybe you all should ask the F.C.C to come and take your vhf uhf frequencies and leave you just an ft8 channal. most don't seem to be interest in anything elce so why not. I hope we can see a change in this trend. Thanks and have fun with your ft8. 73 Matt ka0pqw ______________________________________________________________NLRS mailing listHome: https://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/nlrsHelp: https://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:NLRS at mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: https://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: https://www.qsl.net/donate.html
