The ARRL's 222 MHz & Up Contest is somewhat unique in that its 222 and up, uses distance as points (one point per km), there are no grid multipliers, it does use band multipliers, and runs from 1800 UTC Saturday August 6 ending at 1759 UTC Sunday August 7.  Full rules at https://contests.arrl.org/ContestRules/222-MHz-Rules.pdf
Right now my plan is to do something different.  I am taking the 222 through 10 GHz rover north to grid square EN17ve, Frenchman's Bluff, located near Flom, MN.   This is a spot that I found many years ago but have never operated from.  The north facing side of the road/bluff slope offers a ~ 20 mile horizon from about 317 degrees through north through about 129 degrees thus covering essentially all of VE4, VE3 and over to Duluth.  From there to VE4MA is about 310 km.   There are several new stations on a few of the uW bands up that way and I'd like to see if I can work them from this superior VHF location.  K0AWU mention that EN17 would also be a new grid for him on a few bands noting that its a difficult path/direction for him ..... be fun to try.   This location is blocked south of about 130 degrees and its not know if I can find a spot that has south coverage, but after working all the VEs that I can I will be looking.   The initial plan would be to return home along 94 that evening.  This is weather dependent plus I have a bunch of work to get done before then, but its Plan A.
So all you VE3's and 4's, get those 222 and up antennas tuned up !   I do plan to have CW, SSB and digital albeit digital is untested at this time (?) .
