Hi all,

Well i worked 8 stations last night on 6m sprint.

ssb cw.

It's becoming clear to me now if you want to be on vhf you can't really
do it unless you run ft8.

While i am not out right against ft8 i will say to me it isn't fun at all.

For me as a blind man i have to use two programs together to run ft8

Some timts it won't log corectly and some other problems.

You can't really pick who you work either you can call cq and answer
cq's and that's it.

So if that is all vhf is suppose to be now, maybe it's time to think
about getting out of it.

You use to be bable to get to know the hams you were working but not any
more.

Maybe for sure it's time to have a sepret contest for ft8 or something.

I have long been on vhf uhf and hope to continu but if it's only going
to be ft8 and that's really it well maybe time to think.

Of course maybe what one should do is get a good kw on a cupple bands
like 6 m and then put 1kw of cw and ssb on the ft8 frequency.

Hell no one even tunes around anymore so why not.

I hope it doesn't come to that.  So we'll see.

I do know if we don't keep the activity going then at some point we
won't have it.

Now if it's only going to be ft8 maybe you all can  talk the f.c.c to
let you have a sliver of space on each band for your damn ft8.

just things to think about.

Thanks 73 Matt ka0pqw
