I think Matt KA0PQW said he ran a 2m SSB net; maybe that's the one? Yes, it sure would be nice to have activity outside of the contests. The thing that scared me away from VHF for so many years was the extremely high $/QSO ratio. Couldn't talk myself into dropping $1k on a band that may or may not yield a handful of QSOs per year.
Speaking of which, right after lunch, I'm heading up the tower to install a 222-5WL Yagi up at 136'. I'll be looking for someone to test with this evening. Only 20w for now, but I'll pick up an amp from ND0B at the Grand Forks hamfest on Saturday.
