The 6M 4el beam appears to have a bad connection in the driver element. The SWR was jumping around and I ended up using the HF tribander on 6M. I found out it received better from the back than the front. The only problem with that is the 2M/440 beam is on the same mast.
This was the first contest using the Icom IC7100. I got a good deal on it on a Black Friday sale and needed a radio for VHF at home. The TS-2000 is spending the winter at the cabin.
It is a neat little radio. The audio and CAT can be handle with one USB cable. It also has a SD card slot that can be used for backing up settings and recording both transmit and received audio. I plan on trying some roving with it. The down side is it only has half the power on 2M (50W) and 440 (25W) that the TS-2000 has.
My score is about 50% higher than last year. If the 6M beam was usable I would of added some more grids.
