I have a three foot jumper coax with Male N Connectors on both ends

between my 2 M high power amplifier output and the Transco T/R relay. When I took the cable off of the Transco relay there was some blackrubber on the mating outside surface of the Transco female connector. The mating jumper male N connector has a black rubber gasket overthe mating outside surface. This means the outside connection is beingmade with the screw on outside portion of the connector rather thanthe two outer rings making surface to surface contact. My question iscould this cause decreased power handling capability and maybeincreased SWR at two meters ? Anybody got a three foot jumper withMale N connectors that can handdle high power ?
