Hello  . I have a  beacon  for  you  ..... I am  out  at the farm and am testing the  RCA / BURLE cavity amp  on 432 .035  ...... Went through a  bit of hassle  BUT replaced the  tube and  now am getting  1200watt  with 50 watts  drive  from the  FT991  ...... Am going to  play  with the plate  loading to see if I can get  any more  out of  it . This is amplifier  #2 that I have  modified  and built up from the FQA estate  ( a.k.a FQA SPECIAL  ) . SPECS are as follows  = 3400vdc plate voltage  and 700 ma plate current.  Running  now  at 1200w  out  read on a 2500w  bird slug . Running  into a new  FO25 at 20 ft . The  amplifier has slightly higher  gain than the  first one  but I  believe it is  because of the  higher  screen voltage  ( 550 versus  480 vdc ) ..... if anyone  wants to  listen in I'll be  testing  until  around  2 or 3 this afternoon  . I'll  point  to the  cities  for  now  ....Ron KA0RYT EN35ct Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
