[NLRS] WSJTX and N1MM at the same time

This method worked for me, but it's not ideal:
https://www.rttycontesting.com/tutorials/n1mm/operating-ww-digi-with-n1mm/
N1MM calls up a second instance of WSJT-X that is completely separate from
the regular installation. It keeps its own settings and log files in a
separate folder. It appears that WSJT talks to the radio through N1MM; no
other hardware or software are needed.
As NR0T mentioned, you have to close WSJT-X to make CW or SSB QSOs, and the
program didn't always want to close. Usually it worked OK, but sometimes I
needed to use Task Manager (and more than a little sea-faring language) to
shut down both WSJT and N1MM and then restart N1MM. WSJT is started by
simply typing FT8 in the callsign field in N1MM.
On the plus side, it DID appear to log everything correctly and the log file
imported into my regular station log (DX4WIN) with no problems.

Subject: [NLRS] WSJTX and N1MM at the same time
Has anyone managed to get N1MM and WSJTX running at the same time sharing
the radio control? I don't want to give up frequency tracking in N1MM it is
far to handy when doing hunt and pounce. But that kept me from using WSJT
during slower times.
Yes I could setup a separate computer for WSJT but I am already watching 2
monitors, a third would be a nuisance!
Current desk setup, only place for a third monitor would make me have to
look up. https://i.imgur.com/muTfrFf.jpg
