If you are able to make a short presentation to your club about the upcoming
CSVHFS Conference in La Crosse, WI on July 24th and 25th, you might want to
use the short "powerpoint" that Janice KA9VVQ has prepared.

If you click on (or right mouse click to download) the following hotlinks,
you will see either "readme notes" or the presentation in either .pptx or
.pdf formats.

The directory is here: http://w9fz.com/ham/CSVHFS2020Promo/

The individual files in that directory are:
http://w9fz.com/ham/CSVHFS2020Promo/_README_FIRST.pdf (105 KB)
http://w9fz.com/ham/CSVHFS2020Promo/ Lacrosse2020.pptx (23 MB)
http://w9fz.com/ham/CSVHFS2020Promo/Lacrosse2020.pdf (3 MB)

The powerpoint attempts to give the viewer an idea of what goes on at a
CSVHFS Conference--since they probably have never been to one before. The
presentation leaves them with the links on how to learn more. It's 16
slides and really ought be 10 minutes or less. If you need to make edits,
the .pptx is editable but the .pdf's are not.

Ham Radio is a BROAD hobby. There are so many niches of specialty interest.
Those of us in the NLRS and Badger Contesters are already attracted to the
VHF/UHF weak-signal area of Ham Radio. Technical conferences like Aurora,
CSVHFS, or Microwave Update help us deepen our interest in this area. Many
of the folks in your club won't have any interest in VHF/UHF weak-signal and
technical conferences. But there might be a few who are--those are the ones
we hope make the effort to attend the conference. Your presentation may be
just enough to tip the scale for them.

We've heard from some of you mentioning which clubs you'd be willing to
contact with this kind of information. Perfect! It helps build the "buzz"
and enthusiasm for the event.
