Hello NLRS land The 53rd annual CSVHFS conference was held July 25 through the 28 in Lincoln, Nebraska. By some strange twist of fate, I was the conference president. I can report that the conference was successful and that we managed to work our way through it without a problem. We had around 130 registrations and around 145 for the Saturday night banquet. Speaking of the banquet, N2CEI led us through a different and very fun prize table give away process this year. Ask someone who attended about it. Much of the conference success was due to strong support from the following NLRS members: WA2VOI for the technical program, strong support to the proceedings, and the antenna range, W9FZ & KA9VVQ for registration (which went exceedingly smooth), and AD0CX for noise figure measurement. Thanks guys! In addition to this, the conference had strong support from the Rocky Mountain VHF group as well as many of the usual suspects. As a group we are definitely stronger than the sum of our individual part. Looking forward to 2020, the 54th annual CSVHFS conference will be held in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The 2020 conference president is W9FZ. With the conference falling within our region, this will be great opportunity to attend. 73, JonW0ZQ
