Following up on Paul's comment...
In the past, I thought there HAD BEEN a LINK to WA7BNM's "Web to Cabrillo"
forms IN the rules of each of the Contest Rules web pages for ARRL
contests. It seems to have disappeared in recent edits of the rules sets
(it's not in the June VHF rules either and, though I didn't check other
contests, I suspect the same has happened for other contests, both HF and
VHF).
Since snail-mailed paper log submissions are NOT accepted for the 222
Contest, it seems (to ME anyway) that this would be a VERY HANDY item to
mention for the contest. I will drop a note to Bart and Paul suggesting
that a link to the "Web to Cabrillo" form for the 222 Contest be added to
the rules. The Log Submission count dropped from 199 in 2017 (the inaugural
year) to 147 in 2018 - I fear that if the log count does not top 147 in
2019, the "end may be near" for the 222 Contest.
And thanks to Rich for following through...it looks like HIS log submission
was #100 for this year's 222 MHz & Up Distance Contest!
ALSO, please note that the Log Submission rules for the 10 Gig Contest have
been changed to read:
*8.2. *Electronic entries must be made to the web app at
*http://contests.arrl.org/arrl10gscoresubmission.php*
<http://contests.arrl.org/arrl10gscoresubmission.php> The Cabrillo (or
ADIf) file formats are required for electronic entries in the 10 GHz and Up
Contest.
As I understand, that means no more text files, spreadsheets or PDFs. And
I'm slightly surprised that ADIF was recently added (it HAD only mentioned
Cabrillo) but there must be a 'tool' somewhere that converts ADIF to
Cabrillo (many that I've seen are totally HF focused and don't recognize
the slight differences in format between Cabrillo's HF and VHF & Up QSO:
line templates).
But...never fear, WA7BNM has a "Web to Cabrillo" form for ARRL 10 GHz and
Upd Contest <http://www.b4h.net/cabforms/arrl10ghz_cab3.php> (that should
be a 'live' link and I'll drop a note to Bruce about the extraneous 'd' on
'Up' that I'm sure he'll fix within a few days).
