This is the last notice I'll be sending out. Our drop-dead date for
participation is Sunday, May 7th

If we don't have enough interest (and dollar value) we'll skip if for this
year.

******************************

It's about that time again and I need several items so, I'm taking a quick
survey to determine if there may be enough interest to justify another (the
5th) group purchase.

In the past, we've benefited from a quantity discount, good exchange rate,
funds transfer discounts and combined shipping costs. The $ to Euro exchange
changes daily and is at approx. 0.92 so this might be good timing. I only
have a week to survey the "potential" interest out there in the NLRS and RMG
clubs. So, please e-mail me direct jim.k0mhc at earthlink.net
<mailto:jim.k0mhc at earthlink.net> with your "potential" interest. Remember
you've not "committed" to anything until you drop your check in the mail.
Also, I'll need to receive a quote from Kuhne so as to let you know of the
approximate costs (including discounts, shipping, etc.).

Here's their updated website:
http://shop.kuhne-electronic.de/kuhne/en/shop/amateur/

You'll need to click on the category to drill down to the individual items.
You may want to indicate your band of interest to help sort the listings.

Transverters, Power Amplifiers, Heat Sinks, Sequencers, and low-noise
Pre-amplifiers have been popular in the past. Be sure to check the drive and
DC voltage requirements. Kuhne is usually conservative on their
specifications. Note that we'll be charged the "net" Euro cost which
includes the export VAT discount.

We'll be migrating up I35 the end of May and I suspect that an order placed
within the next three weeks would not be available until the end of June (my
guess), depending on what's in stock. For the best savings, we'll want
everything to be shipped in the same order as international shipping
costs/insurance are a BIG deal! Please e-mail me with your potential
purchases and/or any questions relating to the proposed group purchase. As
usual, we'll be spending a lot of time in the Twin Cities this spring/summer
with our grandtwins. I can also make a group re-shipment to TX without too
much problem.

If by Sunday, May 7th, we don't have enough interest then we'll just forget
it for this year.

73, Jim
