I was happy to work you from EN50rl. I think you were my second best
DX for the weekend, the best being KA9VDU at 303 km. Conditions seemed
to be enhanced somewhat at the time. KA9VDU had an elevation advantage
and he was booming in here.
Glad you found a good location to view the eclipse. My old friend N5RP
just happened to live right on the center line of totality. We were
lucky to have a clear sky for it. There were scattered clouds around.
A few miles away
at a stadium in Carbondale a cloud moved in and they only got to see
the last 30 seconds of totality.
Pete K9PW and I are going to do our mad dash up the Wisconsin
lakefront of Lake Michigan in September. Mostly, we'll work people
across the lake. We might go inland at a couple high points along the
way and try for some QSO's inland.
