This was my first 10 GHz and Up operating event.

I was QRV Saturday, August 19, from my home station with a 2 foot dish at 65
feet above ground and a DEMI 3 watt XVTR.

I made a total of seven contacts with KA9VDU/R, W9ZIH, W9SZ, and W9SNR/R.
Also attempted contacts with Bob - K2YAZ and Neil - W9NU.

Zack - W9SZ was my best DX at 277 km (173 miles).

Sunday, Aug 20, my XYL and I were driving to Missouri to view the total
eclipse.
Monday, Aug 21, we drove even more trying to find an acceptable viewing
location because a WX system in Southern Iowa was blanketing much of
Missouri with thick clouds.

We finally got to an area South-East of Jefferson City about 15 minutes
before totality, parked and enjoyed the eclipse with a clear view. We were
joined by locals and people who traveled from as far away as Texas who
happened to find the same hilltop location along highway 50. Traffic was
terrible, and restaurants ran out of food.

I expect to be QRV on Sunday September 17 for the second weekend of the 10
GHz and Up operating event.
