[NLRS] August UHF contest results

The 39th annual August UHF Contest results are posted at http://www.uhfcontest.org/ .   The contest attracted 188 logs, the most in six years.   Regionally, congratulations to the following stations who placed in the top 10.

Single-Op High Power:
W0GHZ - 5th place
W0UC - 6th plce

Rover:
W0ZQ/R - 5th place
KC0P/R - 6th place
AC0RA/R - 7th place
N0HZO/R - 8th place

Limited Rover:
AE0EE/R - 7th place
W0IS - 8th place
K9JK/R - 9th place

Rover Unlimited:
WB0LJC/R - 1st place

The club placed 3rd out of a total of 20 clubs and had the second highest number of club logs submitted (19).  The NLRS Limited Rover Award was won by Wyatt, AC0RA, with the highest score ever recorded by any winner of this award; he had 34,650 points on bands CDI.  Andrea, K2EZ, was second with 8,316 points on bands CD. These two awards will be presented at the NLRS Aurora Conference next April. 

A tip of the hat to Wayne, N6NB, for driving the bus on organizing this non-ARRL sponsored event, and to John, K9JK, for acting as the contest manager.   Next years event will be a different event, once again sponsored by the ARRL, and with the introduction of distance scoring.
