GM All I am going towrite this in Word and then post via my Yahoo web mail and see if theformatting holds any better than the past. A fun contestin the end, even though I really am not “hot to trot” on 6m Es. Conditionsappeared to be quite good really, the warmer WX perhaps helped even though wewere 10deg or so cooler than those of you to the south. Local activity seemedvery slow except for the rovers. The rovers accounted for 59 contacts or 18% ormy Qs. Discounting the Es the rovers accounted for 49% of my QSOs!! W9FZ andKA9VVQ were worked 11 times each, W0ZQ worked 25times, N0LL twice, KC0P andN0HZO worked for 5 times each. THANK YOU for your efforts. You provide more andmore of the weak signal opportunities that I operate this contest to enjoy asfewer of the “old standby” VHF/UHF home stations participate.
Northernstations worked were WB0TDV, KB0CIM, N0KKT, W0PHD, NT0V, K0MVJ, N0EO, KB0BK. Thanksfor being there guys, much appreciated.
Great to workeveryone. Mary W0AAT was very good copy here in my poorest direction. I hopeyou enjoyed the contest. WX prevented my usual sked with Bob K2DRH, only workedBob on 2m. Only W0UC from down by Eau Clare, Paul and I worked for our firsttime (I think) on 1296 and 902 SSB!! VERY COOL. Missed Barry VE4MA entirely ashe spent much of the weekend “ghost writing” a paper for CSVHF. End result wasmy 5th best score in the last 16yrs for the June contest. 6 meters - 219Qs 101 Grids2 meters - 37Qs 15 Grids222 MHz -19Qs 10 Grids432 MHz -22Qs 12 Grids1296MHz – 9Qs 6 Grids10Ghz - 5Qs 4Grids 318 Contacts and 153 Grids for a Score of 62,118points73 Bill K0AWU
