Another twist is that that the Superior Hiking Trail is a part of the North
Country National Scenic Trail, which is eligible for National Parks On The
Air.  There are two main requirements.  You need to give the unit number,
which is TR04.  Also, you need to upload your QSO to Logbook of the World, and
include the location.

It's been a mostly HF event, but there's no reason why VHF can't be used.  And
it's been combined with SOTA (and US Islands and IOTA) activations many
times.
