Hi Zack -
What kind of distances did you guys work on 24 GHz ? How much power are you guys running?

I've been using the LM2940T-X.0 voltage regulators wherever I need alowervoltage. Usually the 9.0 volt ones but occasionally the 8.0 voltones. Forcircuits where I have determined that a low supply voltagewill pull the LOfrequency, I use a boost switching supply to generateabout 18 volts or so andthen use the LM2940T-12.0 to maintain 12volts and the others for lowervoltages. This has made the LO stayrock-solid down to 7 volts from the supplyat the expense of drawing alittle more current. The LO's are also phase-lockedto a 10 MHz OCXO.Activity along the Lake Michigan lakefront was nowhere nearwhat youfolks experienced in your area. I ended up with about 11,000points.But it was a blast and well worth it to make 18 QSO's on 24 GHzinaddition to the 10 GHz ones.73, Zack W9SZ
