Dear Dakota division VHF contester,
We're getting the rover Jeep ready for this weekend's contest.
WØZF, AEØEE and myself are headed out to Faith SD and back this
weekend. We'll primarily be on US-212 with side trips around the grid
square corners.
We'd like to get you in the log, and with the new spotting rules, we
should be able to make this happen.
If you hear us and we don't hear you, please call or text me at
651-214-4496 and we'll swing the beams in your direction.
50.185 MHz is a popular parking spot for us with our low power signal
should six meters get crowded around the calling frequency.
We'll have 50, 144, 222 and 432 gear on board. AEØEE and WØZF have CW
skills so USB and CW will be in play. We might try some digital while
stopped in Faith.
We will stay Saturday night in Faith DN85 and make a significant stop
at the Summit Rest Area EN15 on Sunday afternoon.
We usually spend the last two hours of the contest at the grid square
corner near Winsted MN EN24/25/34/35
We'll have the APRS beacon on, but, that doesn't work well West of the
Missouri River. http://aprs.fi/k0bbc-9
I look forward to our next QSO and swapping multipliers.
73,
Matt KØBBC
Dave WØZF
Bill AEØEE
