The 222 transverter has done it again. I blew it putting it into the car last year. It has been running fine all year, but checking it out I got the same little "pop" and the smoke that Steve installs at the DEMI factory escaped. So, this year's bold plan for 222 is my IC3SAT vintage 1989 1 watt HT driving my amp. If the 1 watt will excite the amp I guess that I will have about 10 watts. That means 223.500, but for those of you with tight transverters and long beams I could go to 223.150, where the bandplan allows for repeater inputs. I will be horizontal. I have to totally revamp the power distribution in the vehicle.
No rove this time, but will be on, antennas on the balcony, discreetly in daylight hours. Yagis and loopers 222, 432, 902/3 and 1296. Power on 432. EN61au. West of Chicago.
ARRRRRGHHH!
73, Tim K0PG/9
