We intend to get on the air for at least one chunk of the UHF contest,
hopefully two chunks. Our participation is hampered by the fact that we
are travelling to a wedding in the Chicago area on Saturday and then have
some extended family events on Sunday morning. Our operating time is
limited, but the up side is that you'll get three QSOs through the family
rule.
Our plan is basically to get to our destination at *EN62aa* on Saturday
afternoon about 4:00 CDT in time to get on the air for 1/2 - 1 hour. We'll
have 432 SSB/CW and 446 MHz FM for sure. I'm going to try hard to have 222
MHz as well. Please look for us there.
On Sunday we'll try to get on the air around 12:00 pm and hopefully stay on
until the end of the contest from *EN52ui*.
I'll be monitoring 446 MHz FM the whole time we're in the vehicle during
contest hours (which will be quite a bit) and will call on that frequency
on the hour, quarter, and half hour points, so please listen for us there.
Again, it's a three-fer from us if you find us. I'll have to look into the
new spotting rules to see if we can't make it easier for you.
73 and good luck in the contest,
David W9HQ
