Greetings!

Holly and I have decided to move from our house to a much-smaller condo
and need to sell some of our equipment. More items will be available but
the first item up could be an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to
get on 222MHz for the first time or to really add some oomph to an
existing station.

For Sale
~~~~~~~~
FAA AM-6154 amplifier fully converted to 222 including RF and DC switching
This ampplifier is very roibust and puts out ~450W RF for ~7 watts drive.
Complete spare, but unmodified FAA AM-6155 amplifier plus a few other
modules.
Partial homebrew 28-222MHz transverter built around a AEA 222-28MHz RX
converter, homebrew GaASFET preamp, Hamtronics 28-222MHz TX converter
using the AEA RX converter for L.O. for true transceive.
This complete transverter and amplifier combo comes in a 36" high 19"
free-standing rack cabinet wih ~20" of unused rack space.
Just add an HF rig with low-power 28MHz RF out (e.g. any of the older
Yaesu or Kenwood HF rigs [FT-101, FT-901, FT-107, FT-1000MP, TS820,
TS-930S, etc) to get on 222MHz in a big way.
For those who haven't experienced operating on 222, this is a very fun
band which benefits from all of the occasional DX modes (tropo, aurora,
meteor scatter, even Es!) and this amplifier/transverter combo has worked
65 grids and about 25 States.
It simply won't fit in the new QTH which will largely be mobile in the
MINI!
A genuine steal at $550.00.
Pick up at QTH N0UK & K0HAC in South Minneapolis.
