K0AWU June contest average 2004-2014 -- 56,318pts
K0AWU June contest range 2004-2014 -- 4,056 -183,522pts
K0AWU June 2014 -- 10,318pts
Pretty much sums it up. Lowest score since 2004 (3 bands only then). Poor conditions (rain, drizzle, wind and cool). Poor activity. Many northern stations involved in multi op activities reduces the number of stations available to work from their home QTH and grids. Limited rovers in range, then limited bands. Had it not been for some limited 6m Es the result would have been SO MUCH worse.
The Numbers::
6 meters 57 QSOs 35 Grids
2 meters 30 QSOs 15 Grids
222 8 QSOs 5 Grids
432 13 QSOs 6 Grids
902 3 QSOs 2 Grids
1296 4 QSOs 3 Grids
10GHz 1 QSO 1 Grid
Total 116 QSOs 67 Grids 10,318pts
13 QSOs -- EN37 Thanks guys!
9 QSOs -- EN36 Thanks to you guys TOO!
Worked Barry VE4MA on 2, 222 and 432. Worked Dennis NT0V on 2m as well as Wally W0PHD. That was the count from up north.
Worked W5ZN -- 2m EME shortly after moonrise on the terrestrial antenna.
K2DRH was way below normal Sunday AM-- required WSJT on 2 and 222. 432 was a bust 6m CW was very difficult.
Several longer 2m Qs AC0RA/R EN32, KC0AKJ EN42 both after the rain Sunday.
6m Es was limited, mostly south and nothing SW.
Heard W4ZRZ calling W9KRT on 2m Es, Ron called and worked him then he was gone. Heard W5ZN some time before that, but a very short "burst".
Station worked well. Lost about an hour trouble shooting a 1296 amp issue, but didn't miss anything. Amp does not like WSJT while only being air cooled.
Thanks for those that participated and thanks to those that I worked.
73 Bill K0AWU
