Hi Ron,
You had a very good 2 m signal into EN19. I heard you 4 times calling CQ ( about every hour at the same time) on sunday afternoon. I tried to get a few other VE4s to look for you but to no avail. We had steady rain all day sunday so not sure why propagation was so good to you?
I wish we had tried 432
Best 73

Subject: [NLRS] Contest Summary de KA0RYT
Hello All !! Well , it was a pretty decent contest this year !! I ended up with 17390 total points this year , which is a personal best . The breakdown is : 6m - 67 QSO X 49 Grids , 2m - 76 QSOs X 35 Grids , 432 - 12 QSOs x 6 Grids AND 1.2G - 6 QSOs x 4 Grids . It was really good to hear and work all the activity and especially the rovers ! ( Many Thanks to K0KUK/R and AC0RA/R and KC0P/R !!! ) Highlights of the contest include = working 2m tropo from EN10 to DN94 to EN19 ( tnx Barry ! ). Also working 144 EME on Moonrise to KB8RQ and K5QE ( too much rainstatic to complete QSO w / Joel; W5ZN in EM45 though ) .... Last highlight I will mention is working 144 Es to W4ZRZ in EM63 ( I received an e-mail from N0IRS in Mo stating he heard and recorded it via Es 'backscatter' - DID ANYONE ELSE WORK ANY 144 Sporadic E ?? )... The low points of the contest were losing around 4 + hours due to storms here during 'prime' tropo window hours and having 'MURPHY'
visit the 1.2g system causing my NOT having a working rotor - I had to climb 50+ft up and manually 'rotate' the looper ..... Am looking forward to participating in the CQ WWW VHF Contest and the ARRL UHF and ARRL Sept Contests ....
73s ! Ron Bergantzel KA0RYT EN35ct
