[NLRS] VHF contest

I plan to be on from home. I won't have the 2m PA that worked part of
the time last year. I destroyed it this evening. Shorted coax and too
much drive left it with probably shorted PA transistors. At least it
draws enough current without being keyed to pull a 30 amp Astron down to
less than 1 volt output. I hope enough Astron regulators survived.
I expect to have a D1010N working on 432, 50 watts on 2m and 100 watts
on 6m, to the roof top antennas I've used for several years. Providing I
don't blow up the D1010N tomorrow.
I was figuring on roving, but the 6m antenna I ordered in March hasn't
arrived and probably won't ever arrive. A June contest without 6m could
be really quiet. I need to work on a tower and better operating position
with real coax too.
I'll be monitoring 6 and 2 simultaneously.
The forecast for here is for storms late Saturday afternoon and evening
through to Sunday morning. I'll be off when I hear the first rumble of
thunder. There is a forecast for 1 to 2 inches of rain west of I-35
overnight.
