Hello NLRS land -
I hope everyone is enjoying summer a bit. Lots of radio-fun activities are ahead.
* CQ WW VHF contest is next weekend. This is a 6 and 2 meters only with some really creative operating modes like "Hill Topper". There is a link to the rules from the NLRS home webpage at www.nlrs.org .
* July 24 -26 is the 48th annual Central States VHF Society conference in Austin, TX. Full information at http://www.csvhfs.org/2014conference/index.html .
* August 2/3 is the ARRL UHF contest and Rovermania ! W0ZQ/R is planning on being out and about with 222 through 10 GHz. I sure would love to work a bunch of fixed and fellow rovers.
* August 16/17 is round one of the ARRL 10 GHz and Up contest. Discussion still abound as to what the group will be doing, so throw your ring in the hat.
Recent NLRS website updates include:
* Updated the beacon list at http://www.nlrs.org/home/beacons to add N8PUM's new 902 beacon. Let me know of any updates to this list.
* Added a link to the Aurora 2014 presentations at http://www.nlrs.org/home/aurora . You can find the link towards the bottom of that page.
73, Jon
