Soapbox: A Sunday only rove to EN24/25/34/35. Local conditions were good .... much easier than January! I worked Dave, WV9E, from EN35ad to EN43 on 902 FM with Dave running 2 watts from an Alinco. Full quieting. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to get my TR751A 2m IF rig to work on FM simplex. 902 works well albeit you may need a good filter to avoid desensing from cell towers. Also a nice rain scatter Q to Bill, K0AWU, from EN24 to EN37 on 10 Gigs. The EN44 boys were easy SSB up through 2304. Gary, W0GHZ, had monster signals all day. Nice to work N0UK/K0HAC on 10 Gigs from their new elevated shack in EN34. Also thanks to fellow rovers N0EDV/R and WB0LJC/R for some nice multipliers.

The UHF bands are a lot of fun when conditions are like this. 222 and 902 are good bands ... check out my Q's & mults totals above generated while running 100 watts on 222 and 15 watts on 902 with 8' boom yagis ... nothing too special. 1296 is also pretty active.

For those who worked rovers made sure that you indicate /R (for example, W0ZQ/R) in your log that you send in. If you indicate just "W0ZQ" we will both get dinged.

73, Jon
W0ZQ/R
