I have a beacon in EN07lx near Ft. Totten, ND, on 144.293 (also 432.310), and it is very loud at my location in EN08oc.

Arliss, I like your beacon where it is on .297. I heard it weakly several times last night and it was in and out of the noise this morning. That's the ideal for me since it tests the limits of my system and gives a great reference for antenna pointing.

If you move it down a few KHz, I doubt I will hear it because of the strong signal I have on .293. I've never head that WD9BGA beacon. The beacon in EN15 near Johnson, MN, has been a mainstay here for years but lately I've had a buzzing noise on that frequency that has made it difficult to hear. The VE4ARM beacon in Austin MB on .280 or .281 is a good one for me but it doesn't tell me much about conditions to the south.

Whatever you decide, thanks for putting it on and spreading the word.

73,

Dennis NT0V
