Long version:

Not much propagation. I did not hear any 6M Eskip, did anyone else? Thank
goodness for CW on the harder QSO's. I need to get better at it. And I need
to fix my keyer to work with the IC-251a IF rig for 902/1296 instead of
using the straight key, or better yet, get the dang 2M DEMI transverter
built and interfaced to the Flex-1500 so all bands are controlled with it
instead of three different radios, three different microphones, one set of
paddles, one straight key, etc., etc.

Thank goodness for the rovers: K0BBC/r, KC0P/r, N0HZO/r, and particularly,
KC0IYT/r. I occasionally heard other stations working other rovers but I
could not hear the rover stations, so I had no chance to work them. Also,
KC0P & N0HZO were hard to work, twice on 144 and once on 432, and none of
the other bands that they had along with them. Bummer.

Very disappointing local turnout. Are we getting tired of playing VHF & Up
Contesting around here? I hope not. Maybe I need to start selling off my
stash of gear instead of adding to it.

Oh well, on to all the "honeydews" (you know, "honey, do this, honey do
that") that have been postponed lately, so I can be completely ready for
NEXT weekend roving in the 10 GHz contest.

Then, decide what to bring with me to Texas at the end of the month of
September, and what to leave behind till next summer.
