Subject: [NLRS] Aurora Rumor

Rumor has it that there may be another Aurora meeting this spring. I've not
seen anything on this topic (other than Bill's request for presenters) so
I'll attempt to create a little chatter here.

Maybe we as a group can pool our resources and help with RF power
measurements. In my case I have several needs, you may have others:

1. Measurement of microwave RF power amplifier outputs - not just 10
GHz

2. "Approximate" calibration of my current, un calibrated RF power
meter (HP431C) - this need not be exact but I'd like to be in the ball park

3. Measurement of my current, un calibrated weak signal source power
outputs on several microwave bands - not total broadband power output

Perhaps some of our highly compensated technical consultants that we have on
retainers could come up with some ideas on how we could accomplish these
during the Aurora get together. Maybe someone other than Donn and Berry who
already help out on antenna and sun noise measurements?

These and other activities may help sustain/grow the interest in and
attendance at Aurora.

See you there (May 11th I think),

73, Jim

K0MHC
