As many know I have taken on the challenge of  revitalizing the TCFMC as the
new club President (Mike Sigelman K0BUD retired this last year).  My biggest
challenge is bolstering the membership roster, maintaining and improving the
wide area repeaters of the club, improving community service in
communications with efforts like this above event, and bringing us back into
the black on an annual basis.  It is an expensive deal in this day and age
to maintain a repeater system in a premier antenna location for wide area
coverage. The above event is another great way to help out with many of
those goals while having fun and free beer (did I mention the free beer?).
146.76 is also primary backup Skywarn repeater due to its wide area coverage
and major force for communications during the Mpls Marathon.  We have an
awesome new website face lifted that promotes the club and its events.  We
put on a competitive Field Day operation that I hope to incorporate more VHF
next year.  Don't forget the Swap Shop Saturday morning at 9:30am for
buy/sell/trade of amateur gear that has successfully gone on for years with
much equipment moved around.  Great picnic, barbeque and social gathering on
July 31th and meetings every other month (I will be drafting some of you to
do presentations in the coming year).  Our current membership is little
under a 100 and I need to get it up 200 to square away our expenses.  I
invite you to join a club that is involved in community for communications

have frozen the membership cost at 30.00 for the for seeable future.  I
