Reminds me of a conversation I overheard once--

Two guys are talking about how if they connect the power leads of their
rig directly to the AC wall outlet, they will get much more power and
greater range.

One guy asks the other, to which side of the plug he should hook the
red lead and to which side he should hook the black lead and the other
replies, it doesn't matter-- it's AC!
