Probably right the first time, 130-140uf at 50VAC.The rotor usually
runs on 24 volts so a 50VAC cap is about right. If the other cap is
the same uf but higher voltage you should be OK.

Another old trick was to use two standard caps with diodes or possibly
a diode bridge to correct polarity every half cycle. You could try
that but it might have problems with capacitor heating due to high
ripple currents in the capacitor. It would definitely be an option for
something to use this Saturday. I'd use fairly high-current diodes
(>=3A) and over 100PIV but 200PIV and a 25 amp bridge should be
adequate. :-)
