[NLRS] HP 620B operation

I am trying to get a HP 620B SHF Signal Generator operational. In the  lower
left hand corner is a white pushbutton labeled Line off and on. When I  push
it in the fan comes on but it does not latch into the On position. Do I  
have
to hold it in until something times out ? I notice there is a seven pin  
socket
on the rear labeled Repeller and it has nothing plugged in. Do I need  to
provide a short between a couple of pins ? There is a lightning  symbol
in red near this socket, maybe it was to be a connection to the  anti-static
matt.
