Hi everyone,
Just a reminder for BCers and NLRSers that the Log Submission
Deadline for the January Contest it THIS coming Tuesday, at 10pm
Local Time (technically it's Wednesday in UTC but VERY early in
the morning, 0400Z).
The Mt. Airy Pacrkrats were VERY busy this year; from my
"massage" of the Logs Received data 'fresh' this morning
(showing 663 Logs Submitted), 93 Logs list the Packrats as their
club.
PVRC is next with 38.
Guess who is third? (WHY do I want to go into an Abbott and
Costello routine here? ;-)
The Badger Contesters with 23 Logs. WOW...BCers!
The Society of Midwest Contesters is tied for 6th with 15.
Northern Lights claims the 10th highest log count with 11.
There's still time to INCREASE these numbers if you have not
already submitted your log.
ALSO, if you were able to catch any of the enhanced proagation
from that weekend, the new author of the January Results Article
for QST (and the enhanced/expanded version that will be on the
ARRL Web site), Kevin Kaufhold, W9GKA, is seeking detail of what
you found, whether it Es, Au or was there even some F? Perhaps
you managed some EME? Meteor Scatter? From my own scan of the
3830 reports, I noticed several reports of QSOs into South
America but generally from more southern locations (TEP?). If
you can share anything with Kevin, I'm quite sure he'd welcome
it...his email is kkaufhold at yahoo.com.
73, JK
