 Jon,
Thanks for your nice comments. This was a fun year for 10GHz. Now that
my girlfriend (KA9VVQ) has tried 10GHz operating, she likes it! So next
year I hope to be back operating on both weekends. Certainly one weekend
as a rover and possibly one weekend at 2-4 sites in Wisconsin.

Would anyone be up for making an expedition to Western KS/NE to work the
Colorado Front Range? Or perhaps trekking eastward by car to work either
the Lake Erie crowd or perhaps all the way to New England? Hmmmmm.

I paste below what I put on the microwave reflector because it lists the
callsigns who helped contribute to the article via pictures or details.

10 GHz and Up Contest operators:

As you may have heard via other channels, the results for the 2012 10GHz
and Up Contest are now available on-line. When you click on:
http://www.arrl.org/contest-results-articles
you have to expand the 2012 year and scroll down to our contest. You
will see that the real QST article is not yet available since it will be
in the February issue. But that article will be a severely edited down
version to fit on just one published page. The full article is reached
by clicking on "Expanded Results". That is a 9-page article that took 6
days of my life to put together :-) . The reason it turned out like it
did is that I received good inputs (details and photos) from many
operators. Another positive input was the fine editing by Ward Silver,
N0AX. His editing improved my writing.

First off, it appears KB8VAO was the only one to use the "Soapbox"
portion of the ARRL website for this year. In past years, it was
utilized by many of you. Steve, KB8VAO also posted most of his big
pictures on his website: www.qsl.net/kb8vao Tony, KC6QHP made a
travelogue on a webpage at: http://reactancelabs.com/?p=236 . I
received emails of photos or details from: NE8I, K0AWU, K0CQ, K0MHC,
KB0OZN, KC0IYT, KK6MK, N0AKC, N1JEZ, VE3KRP, W9JT, W1AIM, W3HMS, AF6NA,
WA6JBD, K6GZA, WA3PTV, AF1T, and W1GHZ. Thanks to all of you for your
contributions!

I got a nice photo mailed to me from W5RLG (Allan Webb). He traveled all
the way to Pike's Peak from North Texas. His photo did not make it into
the expanded article but is visible here:
http://w9fz.com/10gigphotos/w5rlg_1.jpg .

I see there was some 4-land and Colorado Front Range activity and would
loved to have heard/learned more about it.

I've pledged to write next year's article. Please help me out when I
come begging for your stories and photos :-) . Next year, please
encourage all operators to submit a log. I know of several who got on
but did not submit a log. I know, maybe score means nothing to you. But
the indicator of activity is helpful as a leadership step. I know
personally that "loaner rigs" helped experienced ops stay on the air
when faced with a rig failure. I also know that "loaner rigs" helped get
some new people on the air who really liked the experience. So I
encourage all of you to start your next loaner rig.

We had about 115 logs submitted. I propose a national goal of 125
submitted logs for next year. I can't do it by myself, but with
encouragement and help from all of you, we can top that.

Thanks again for the inputs and I hope you enjoy reading the "online"
expanded article.

Subject: [NLRS] ARRL 2012 10 GHz & Up Contest Results

Hello NLRS land -

The 2012 ARRL 10 GHz & Up Contest results are posted on the ARRL website
at http://www.arrl.org/contest-results-articles . A tip of the hat to
Bruce, W9FZ, for a fine article. Being a contest author is a
significant commitment of one's own time, but its a significant way of
giving back to our hobby that we all love and enjoy. If you have not
considered this before, think about volunteering yourself, and/or find
another way to give back.

Nice article Bruce, thanks for the write-up.
