Even if a net doesn't interest you, know that we're encouraging
the Wed. night 2m check-ins to slide down to 144.220 and lower,
and call their own CQ's. Always trying to increase the health of
VHF/UHF bands. Get on, tune around and see what you hear.
Our lineup of Wed. net controls is always posted at kc9bqa.com.
I realize the contest groups are veterans and you hardly need to
read up on things like 6m tactics, E skip, tropo and the like.
All the same, take a few minutes to scan thru kc9bqa.com's
"front page" Read the headlines and maybe you'll see something
that will help you get a new operator fired up. I have made solid
updates this week about the summer contesting season, about
motivating new rovers, and better understanding propagation.
This link http://kc9bqa.com/?p=4676 takes you to my series of
articles called VHF Contesting School. Those articles are designed
to take someone with virtually no experience and get them comfort-
able with getting on the air and calling, "CQ Contest". You are
welcome to share any or all of those articles with hams everywhere.
This is the perfect time of the year to get hams active on 6m, 2m
and higher bands.
Thanks for your ear, 73,
Todd KC9BQA EN63ao 40 N of Milwaukee
