If you'd be up for a road trip to Minneapolis, we have several scrap
yards here in the city where you can cruise around in the back lot and
pick out the pieces yourself.

One of them I have used is,

http://www.discountsteel.com/

who also sell new (non-scrap) materials via the web. I have ordered
flat stock over the web, had them cut it and then picked it up. I'm sure
they will ship too but you might face some of the same challenges then.

They show 2" x .250 wall, 6061 tubing at stock length of 24', $331.60

They also have 2", SCH 80 pipe, 6061, stock length 20', $163.63

Quite a price difference between tubing and pipe so choose carefully ;-)
