[NLRS] How high can I go?

I want to add a 222 MHz 8 or 11 element yagi to my vhf/uhf stack.  The stacking distance is about 6 feel vertical and I do not have 
that much space left.   Can I put a threaded  extension on top or do I need to buy a longer galvanized pipe?   How long a pipe can I 
put on the 40 foot tower with that thrust bearing?
