I don't believe 6m ever shut down, it just got a little spotty at times.
Extended openings pretty much everywhere from VE1-2-3-5-6-7 down to
Central America and the Northern Caribbean. Nothing to central NY and
PA, leaving a number of grids and a whole lot of stations out of the
log. Had a number of DX answer my CQ, and the great CW activity made it
worth spending time down low and thus bumping into more DX. I think
with W & VE I had 14 countries.
Propagation on the higher bands seemed very good for June, though I
spent little time there. My apologies to the local rovers whom I
neglected! On the other hand, it was very cool to work a couple E-skip
rovers in 3 grids each.
I hope to get on for the CQ VHF in July, otherwise looking forward to
Rovermania 2011 (August UHF Test).
73,
Paul W0UC
