Six meters was pretty much open to somewhere for the whole contest. I've experienced more intense E's, but this is probably the first time that I've experience a continuosly open band like this .... lots of fun for those who enjoy 6m. With 6m so open for all of the contest there was not a lot of activity on the higher bands. Sort of glad that I didnt rove for this one as its tough being a rover during the 6m contest. Was fun to see all the 6m CW activity ... I think perhaps a third of my 6m Q's were on CW. Also, the new wave of HF contesters need to learn to move up as the band opens ... there is lots and lots of room "up" and plenty of room to spread out just like on 10m. I came across several frequency fights and I felt like jumping in to remind everyone that we do have four megs ... move up. All & all, lots of friendly op's on 6m and everyone seemed to be having a good time.

Many thanks to everyone for the Q's and a special tip of the hat to WA0VPJ/R, KC0IYT/R, KE3QY/R, and KC0P/N0HZO/R rovers for being out and about.

Don't forget to indicate "Northern Lights Radio Society" in your logs.

On to Rovermania ! (Oh-OK John, CQWW VHF in July for those looking for more fun on 6m too!)

PS: Don't forget Field Day as a fun VHF opportunity as well.

73, Jon
