This was my first January contest in 11 years, and it was better than I
expected. Much better activity than September. I had planned on
probably shutting down after the start of the Packers-Bears game, but I
actually had my best hours and dx during the games! My summary:

W0UC/9 EN44 Wisconsin
SOHP

Band	QSOs	Grids
50	112	37
144	107	31
222 38	18
432 46	15
902 6 7
1296 7 3
10G 1 1
Total	317	109	47,851

6M scatter was very disappointing, only 5 randoms. On 902 & 1296 I
heard several more grids who couldn't hear me, hopefully we can fix that
for next time.

The big surprise for me was the contacts during the football games out
to IN-OH-MI. I rarely get into that area without some decent tropo, but
this time I had 18 Q's sprinkled from EM69 up to EN84, 7 of them on 222
and 432. Apparently the radio blackout around Chicago cleared the
clutter so that those guys could find me. Great fun!

Thanks much to KF0Q/R for 16 Q's and KC0P/N0HZO/R for another 16! No
rover mults this time, but nice to have someone to chase!

Special thanks to W0AIH for clearing snow up to the shack and getting
some heat started. I can remember shoveling my way in and then pulling
gear over snow piles the last 50 yards. Drove to the door this time!

Thanks to all & 73
Paul W0UC
