Sharp-eyed readers will notice the "EN63" in the subject
line. Yes, ol' KC9BQA will be calling the 144.240 net this
Wednesday and next, while WB9LYH in EN54 takes a little
holiday break.
I'm located in EN63ao, 40 miles north of Milwaukee. I
get on 144.240 at the same time as 'LYH -- 7pm central/
8pm eastern. I start out with a quick look to my north, then
go clockwise a full 360 over the next hour and a half.
K8TQK calls his 144.250 net from EM89je, south-central
OH, starting at 8:30pm eastern. Bob also starts out looking
north, then swings clockwise (E, S then W and NW last) over
the next 45-60 minutes.
The nets are informal; the only purpose is to make 2m SSB
more active. All check-ins, local and DX, are appreciated.
I know many of you have helped spread the word and you
have our thanks.
Nets don't interest you? Help out 2m SSB activity by
grabbing the mic and calling CQ. We're always encouraging
all VHF'ers to make the bands more active. We need more
CQ'ers and less ops who are "just listening".
More details are always available at kc9bqa.com.
Season's Greetings,
Todd KC9BQA EN63ao 40 N of Milwaukee
